Update: Sheriff's Office locates and arrests suspected go-cart thief

On Sept. 23, 2010, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office received a report of a larceny that occurred on Corsica Road in Washington. A Manco Scorpion go-cart was taken. On Sept. 30, 2010, the Beaufort County Crime Stoppers received a tip indicating the location of the go-cart. The go-cart was located and returned to the owners.As a result of the investigation, Investigator Ernest Moore applied for and obtained warrants charging Timothy Scott Richard, age 29, of Keysville Road in Washington, with one count of Felony Larceny.
Timothy Richard was arrested on Jan. 16, 2011 by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office. Richard was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $1500 secured bond, set by Magistrate Smith.
